So I am hoping that it did not go all the way hot, and the first thing to check is the main drive belt on the front of the engine then after it cools down a few mins. check the coolant level as well. If it is low when it is cooled down some you can add some water slowly and look for leaks. One tube is cold and condensates. Since you aren't overheating I don't see any reason not to drive the truck until you get home and can visit the dealer.
