Revit stores the basic length unit in feet, regardless of the project's specified unit of measurement. This means that almost all dimensions have significant rounding errors. Even 4 inches is 0.3333.. of a foot.

What we've learned: 1. Keep the Structural model in a completely separate Revit file and link it into your model. It is hell to separate them inside the same file. Having both Structure and Architecture share the same file is madness, unless you are willing to share nights, weekends and probably wives. 2.
