Overall standalone is much better imo. You can enter buildings, many more items, inventory is better, graphics are better, sounds are better, etc. What the mod really does better is set the atmosphere. When playing the mod it just feels like something isn't right, in a good way.
While Rocket has said that Dayz should be easily ported to the RV4 Engine. He has said nothing about when its Standalone that it def. would be the RV4 engine.
