The strength of Eleonora pole blade is the ash of war and base bleed/fire damage. Godskin peeler is excellent but my favourite is Knight twinblade because it has great reach and scales with strength. Also blackflame tornado can be insane on twinblade once you find it. I found myself really well with Eleonora's at +10.My pvp build runs 16 str, 21 dex, 31 faith and 54 arcane and it gives you room for the majority of arcane scaling weapons like the reduvia, regalia of eochaid, rivers of blood, eleonora's poleblade and bloody helice, and you can also do very strong damage with occult scaling versions of the flamberge, scythe, hoslow petal whip and other innate bleed weapons.After a tiny amount of prep time, you dance forwards, twirling the poleblade to deal death by a thousand cuts. Every time your enemy gets hit they get blood loss build-up in addition to a hefty chunk of fire damage. This weapon art is the reason why Eleonora's Poleblade is a great weapon for Arcane builds.

I just thought of a great one. Get your vigor to 60, put a few points into endurance and then stack your damage stats until you reach your desired level. Now, upgrade your poleblade and equip it (in your right hand). It should be very viable!I'm pretty sure I killed her under the same circumstances and I got the pole blade Maybe bugged.
