Aac 77gr otm review.
I brought some of my own reloads using 55gr FMJ Hornaday bulk bullets and BLC2, bulk 55gr Winchester Lake City stuff (M193), 62gr Winchester LC Green Tip (M855), some IMI 77gr OTM and some 77gr AAC SMK loads. I had never shot the IMI or AAC rounds before. I had mounted a new LPVO optic 1-6x and wanted to zero it for 100 yds.

The 77otm (non SMK) seemed too good to be true so I didn't even try it. The actual 77gr SMK AAC shot just slightly worse out of my gun than the 75gr ... I've had good success with the 77gr OTM. Shot a 20 shot group that was 1.3 MOA while still breaking in my 20" Kreiger with a 1-8 Trijicon Credo.PMC X-Tac had gone on numerous one day flash sales at Velocity for $410 to $430 for all of 2023 until the Oct price spike. At today's higher prices of 55 gr this 77 gr OTM ammo is tempting at 55 CPR. It is also tempting versus say 90-some CPR for IMI Razor Core even though I suspect the IMI ammo is better but is IMI worth the delta.

I ran them on two different guns using sandman S, sandman L, and nomad L. Looks like their 300Bo subs are separating as well.Tried some today out of a PSA 223 wylde upper. The 55gr blade tip would not cycle the gun and shot about a 2.5 inch group. The 75gr blade tip cycled, but would not do better than 2 inches. Tried some of the AAC OTM and both the 69 and 77grain loads shot right at an inch or just under. PSA seems to be changing the game now with the AAC ammunition that uses the correct 9377G bullet, at 2700 fps, at a tremendous bargain price. IMO the most important question that needs to be answered is whether the box spec of 2700 fps is referenced to an 18", 20" or 24" barrel.
The only disadvantage to 75gr will likely be cost and availability. Depending on which 75gr and which 77gr pill you are shooting, the results can either be nearly identical or fairly different. If all you are doing is LARP'ing at 25yds, just shoot 55gr.
