The tutorial for Victoria 3 sucks and I am confused as to why things happen. Vic3. At first it was a little slow but helpful for the economic part of the game. I wish it explained more than one thing at a time and felt that advancing time while I was missing so much of the game was a little annoying but whatever.
Porting a game from Eu4 to Vic3 leads to some interesting worlds. R5: ported my Papal States to Kingdom of God run in Eu4 to Vic3 and ended up with a really cool alternate history 1444-1919. To summarize, imagine no crusades happen post-1444, Italian province united under papacy in 1470s and new world is discovered by Papal States in 1480s.This mod is your EU4 save converted to work with Vic2. The converter does this through mapping the EU4 map to the Vic2 map. So, while the provinces don't exactly line-up between the two games, the converter handles this and assigns the best matches between EU4 and Vic2. Years ago I read an interesting AAR with CK2->EU4->Vic2 Megacampaign. There the player blobbed with Abbasids hard in CK2 and conquered most of the world, but didn't touch the British Isles. In Africa in Vic 3, there are a lot of native nations that are playable, or at least centralized. And decentralized lands are generally treated like uncolonized tiles in EU4, as apposed to the native nations. So hypothetically, it should only be the uncolonized land that gets turned into decentralized areas. So you should be in the clear.The problem with using Vic3 as a basis for EU5 is that Vic3 covers a hundred years when a lot of countries went from being 80% farmers to 20% farmers (if not even more extreme).
