I am wanting to purchase a new round baler. I am looking at a New Holland BR7070 baler and a Vermeer 604 Super M. I currently have a twine tie Vermeer 504SI baler that is pretty simple to use. When I compare the NH to the Vermeer, it looks like the NH is much more complicated and has many more parts that may need replaced in time.

I have several problems, they may be related. Baler is a 648 with the bale command system. REplaced belts last year with John Deere style aggressive belts and JD lacings. Replaced gears and bearings in sledge roller this spring. When started up. will bale about 5 bales then starts having problems on auto wrap.

The 1/4" round bars will end the problem with the hay spitting out the top for good. Just don't ever "slam" it in after you do that in long stringy hay.. I did that it it locked up the top roller with that long stuff. ...
