The 5.3 was fine for just cruising but the SSR is around 4700 pounds and comes standard with the 3.73. Several owners have changed to a 4.10 and some have even gone to the 4.56. The rear drivers side is 29 15/16", the passenger side is 29 3/8". Which is 9/16" difference. Much closer than I measured in the driveway. When the springs were first installed the back measurements were a hair less than 1/2" difference.

Remove the battery hold down wedge (Also 1/2") in the center of the bottom tray and slide the old battery out. Put the new battery in the tray and replace the hold down wedge. Lift the battery tray back up and push it forward to hold it up. Tighten the four 1/2" nuts to secure it. (Picture #4)

Hi Dane, To my knowledge, there are no problems with the wiper motor. I have never seen a failed SSR wiper motor. All of the wiper and washer signals go through the electronics module that is attached to the bottom of the wiper motor.
