Not literally. The sight of a TV too high just hurts!!! Ha!! Airports and doctor's offices have done it for decades. It's generally expected there. It becomes a disease when people see it -- and import the too high TV blasphemy into their own homes. Ha!! Hilarious and true!!

Doesn't quite work as well with flat screens though. In my area it’s because the living rooms are so small, the only wall is above the fireplace which is too tall. Or people want to place the sofa to face the fireplace and the only way to also hang a TV is above it. I’ve seen so many houses like that. Women’s fault.
