In ARK SE I remember that we could change the tethering distance, however, no matter how I change this option, i can't be further than 180 meters which is quite problematic. Is this supposed to be a bug that will be fixed or do I have to pay for a nitrado serv to get rid of such problems?
This has to be a deliberate decision on the game developer's part. Give us back the option to increase tether distance. If it's too much for our computer, then so be it, we will have to change it back. Just most people today wouldn't notice it because most people's PCs are more than able to handle ARK SE with Tether Distance set to say 99 without too many issues. The Host's Computer has to keep track of everything the "OTHER" Players are encountering rather than those objects going into a deep sleep like they do on normal singleplayer.

The tether is now set at 5 or 9, but somehow we can still separate and glide all over the map without triggering this minimal tether, so long as we don't change zones. It is almost as though the tether setting is no longer real. Change it to 99, unless you go into a cave or smth it shouldn't pull you.
