The CD player in my out of warranty 2003 G35 sedan stopped working and simply displayed "CD ERROR FO" Radio worked fine but the CD changer would not play, eject, or accept CDs. The infinity dealer offered to send it in for refurbishment for between $1100 and $1800 including labor to remove and reinstall.

The other is for output/sound. If it is an expensive radio, pull the case off, look at the CD player and find the plugs to the main board. Unplug them and plug them back in, hook up the radio and see if it works. (could be that simple) Then reassemble the case.
