Going from 85mm to 100mm will probably not net you a noticeable increase in resolution, at least, unless seeing is very good (at least 1.5 arc-seconds to notice, over 2 arc-seconds). The biggest difference will be resolution if seeing allows, a tiny bit more brightness if that matters.

I found one in the CN classifieds for $225 a few months ago. Those have top-shelf glass and longer focal lengths than those short-tube 80s you mentioned, and the views are stunning. Jupiter and Saturn will still be small through an eyepiece but you can visually resolve cloud bands around Jupiter.There are plenty of 50-80mm scopes that put out quality images. From 102-130mm it's the same situation. A good 102mm doublet with a field flattener, reducer can be bought brand new for $1,300 or so. Even the 115mm triplets can be bought for $1,500 and a good field flattener, reducer is only $200.That being said there are fixed costs in selling such as postage and shipping materials. Selling a $30.00 svbony eyepiece with a shipping cost of $5.00 puts you in a hole right off the bat. I can no longer remember if ebay has a sliding scale for fees.
