From what I deduced from that is there is nothing wrong with the FireTV Stick, which works as intended. It appears your cable box does not like being switched in that HDMI port on / with your TV. Maybe try a different HDMI port on your TV. If Comcast "sent a signal" and everything cleared up, certainly a Comcast issue.
