Honestly gotta shoot them both one will just feel better to you. If you can’t shoot both based on the specs the Mathews is a shorter ata at 34ish and the Hoyt is 36ish. The Hoyt in theory should be more forgiving because it is longer. The Mathews will be lighter and slightly faster shooting. The cam feel you have to pull to feel it.

The thing is, the V3X/Phase 4 and Ventum Pro/VTM are still better than those bows even after their big changes. I’m looking for opinions on these bows with a 26 or around 26 inch draw. I know the Hoyt at 26 falls at the max of the shortest mod. I know Matthews is draw specific.

If we compare the compound bows; the featured differences are Hoyt has split limbs and hybrid cams; Mathews has solid limbs and a solo cam. The cam systemis the biggest difference.
I like the Mathew’s phase 4 and Hoyt VTM with the Hoyt feeling slightly better. Mostly based on how it felt drawing back. (PSE with Volvo cam felt great, but getting a Fortis was 8 weeks out for EC 2 cam) They didn’t have a VTM in none camo so I shot the RX 7 ultra and liked how it felt, there were some perks compared to the VTM.That said, after shooting the EC2 cams for a week or so now, it makes the switchweight draw cycle feel like you are stuck in the mud. They are both very nice bows, but the CP30 draw cycle in comfort and the BT grip would probably sway me towards the Bowtech. The Phase 4 will be quieter, deader and faster. Apples to apples. I bought the new Phase 4 which I thought shot a lot cleaner, felt a lot more crisp and definitely had a more solid back wall.
