Rotated the take down lever until it stopped. Pulled the slide rearward to drop slide stop and allowed it to move slowly forward.As the title states: an LCP max, the slide is stuck, cannot rack the pistol. Has not been fired, magazine is removed, no round in the chamber. Trying to rack the slide it goes back a tiny amount then is blocked by something, cannot rack no matter how much force apply backwards. Ruger decided to destroy the pistol and send me a replacement. Another Security 9 went for repairs before ever being fired. It had problems with the slide stop. If the slide was racked with an empty magazine, the magazine then dropped out, the slide would be stuck and would not move forward until between 3 and 14 tries were made. The Security 9 has blued parts, that I have found needs to be kept well oiled as it is prone to rust, plastic sights, and a safety that is hard to manipulate and pivots from the wrong end. But it has a hammer, which in my opinion is a good thing. But the Security 9 is a very functional pistol. The factory rear sight will be bagged and returned with your slide.
