Acetone won't harm your gelcoat but it may dull the finish slightly. there may be other compounds/soaps that will do the job easier or better. You would be amazed if you took a small scale and weighed various 8 oz sinkers. Ones made with alloy might only go 6 ozs. Pure lead also pours better and melts at a lower temperature.

Needless to say, within a day it was covered with maggots, they ate everything from the inside out and the crab stunk up the back yard for a week.I have a 2509 WA and love it. We fish hard & run far in some pretty bad stuff . The boats are built well & in my opinion very easy to fish.
