On Lake of the Woods, there were still folks ice fishing just last week. On Rainy Lake, Voyageurs National Park officials announced ice-out at the Wooden Frog Campground just yesterday. Anglers fishing in the cold waters of the Rainy River enjoyed a very strong run of “pre-spawn” walleyes through last weekend.

There’s a couple strong year classes of walleyes coming up that remain a bit short, so it’s worth mentioning to toss them back. Big Winnie has been producing walleyes on the humps and bars utilizing the previous mentioned presentation. One caveat, no products matched your selection. Have fun and Have fun Fishing.
