If you don't banish the troupe you get to fight a version of the troupe leader that's basically him but on crack and he has a new attack. Once you defeat him you get the fully powered up version of the grimmchild. If you banish the troupe you will lose the grimmchild and you will recieve the carefree melody.
The NPC asks you to go back to the place where you summoned the Grimm Troupe to banish him, so be sure not to do that. I'm at 109% at the moment (In-game). However, when I used the 112% checklist, it said that I still have 4 more items left.
