Alright. So. You start because it sounds cool. Then you realize the customers are shitty people, corporate thinks you are a cheap robot and it all weighs on you. Petco only cares about numbers, it's a retail job with animal care/neglect and all the bits that come with that. You meet a lot of cool people and sweet pets.

Petco Isn’t as bad as everyone makes it seem. I’ve been working at petco for a little bit now, and was pretty hesitant after browsing the subreddit about how horrible it was going to be, and in all honesty, my store is run great. For starters, the animals are taken care of to the best of our ability consistently. We went to petco to get the shots early this month (as my vet required a wellness exam to give the dog the vaccines {last one was sep '22} and lemonade only covers one a year) and they have some program that's $20 month for unlimited pet visits, cash back to spend in store, and some other stuff (not a petco representative so idk all the details).

The multi-cat was great until about 2 months ago. Petco changed suppliers apparently. It sucks now. I’ve always hated the regular one, but the multi-cat clumped great, smelled great & very little dust. Now it’s bigger pieces that don’t clump, doesn’t do anything for the smell & is dusty as hell.
