Subaru crosstrek making noise when off.

The noise only happens after the car has warmed up (10-15 minute drive), and happens when turning left or right at any steering angle really. I've checked the following: CV axels, wheel bearings, and tires. I'm about to bring it to the dealership but don't want the typical "that's a normal sound for a Subaru". This time I went out to see what this "noise" was. Well it is a slight hum, almost sounds like a small electric motor. I crawl under and seems to be coming from the differential. Could not feel anything. The car was not driven for four hours at this time. I then went to turn the key on (did not start it) and turned it off.
