I have the same issue with mine, doesn't do anything, I have unlocked phones that support all the bands but I dont know if it's t mobile phone specific. Depends on what wifi device you compare against. Capabilities vary widely, and wall conditions also make a difference. I've found that the cellspot tends to have better range than wifi. Best results will happen with central placement, both horizontally and vertically.
