The Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad is a heritage railroad located in the Boone County of Iowa. Many freight and passenger trains operate on this route. This railroad was started in 1983 by a group of volunteers who aimed at preserving this section of the route. The Boone & Scenic Valley Railroad was no exception. We spent the afternoon on the train after visiting the museum which is there at the train station and offers some great items and memorabilia. It was about a two hour trip. There were some fall colors starting to show along the way.
