Bridges Churchland Bridge Replacement. This project is for the demolition and replacement of the northbound Churchland Bridge over the Western Branch of the Elizabeth River. The original structure was built in 1950’s and was structurally deficient. The replacement bridge is 1,989 feet long featuring a concrete pile and girder design.
