I know the price of everything keeps going up but I got my Optima from cabelas for 135.00. It was on sale because the 45's had fallen out of favor. JumboShrimp and Duckwisperer. Like.

I bought a CVA Optima many years ago. I love it. I hear the Accura is great but have never shot one. I highly recommend Blackhorn 209 powder. Non corrosive, I can shoot many rounds between a full cleaning with no issues. I shoot 100-105 grains with a 240grain Barnes T-EZ over it and it's a great shooter.Dec 15, 2565 BE ... Nov 23, 2011 · The Wolf does have a Bergara barrel. It's the same barrel the Optima has, but shorter. The Impact does not have a GM barrel. It is the same as the Omega barrel though. I used to have a Wolf, and it was very accurate. No problems at all with it. Never owned an Impact, but did have an Omega. I didn't like the one I had, but it's a popular gun. The bullets I’m testing are the 300 grain THOR bullet which has the blue ballistic tip. We're going to be testing the PowerBelt ELR 50 caliber which is of course what CVA recommends in something like the Accura. We've got the Smackdown Carnivore featuring Ridgeback sabot, these are distributed by Traditions.

It’s smooth, breaks cleanly with 3-4 pounds of pressure, and has very little overtravel. The CVA Optima Northwest has a 1:28” rifling twist, making it suitable for most full size (non-saboted) projectiles. CVA recommends using PowerBelt bullets. Re: CVA Accura vs CVA Optima. I have shot both and saw no difference in accuracy. CVA advertises the Accura as their premium rifle to justify the higher price. They say it has a Bergara barrel, but I think the Optima has one also, just not advertised to get customers to pay out more $$$.15,023. Reaction score. 6,885. May 24, 2021. #4. Only advantage the standard Accura has over a Optima is the adjustable trigger. Both can be had in standard or TH stocks and LR configurations. People hype the Bergara branded barrel but they all come out of the same factory in Bergara Spain. The Optima LR is a 28" which is plenty long.

The biggest difference between these guns is the noticeable change in rear stocks. The Accura LR offers an ambidextrous thumbhole design and the Vortek StrikerFire offers a standard raised-comb rifle stock. While there can certainly be benefits of each stock design, we have found that it truly comes down to personal preference between the two.Sep 6, 2013. #2. I looked at my Optima. It has the breech release on the front of the trigger guard, And it works flawless. I did not see any indication of V1 or V2 or Bergara barrel marks. Although when I talked to a CVA Technician about my Optima he stated it had a Bergara barrel. Also my rifle has a fantastic trigger.2. Accura MR-- some are, some aren't-- MINE already was so I installed a peep/globe combo and it was a PITA. 3. Accura PR-- NONE are prepped, have only seen a few. 4. As a new muzzleloader, I'm not having much luck getting good accuracy from a new 50 cal CVA Optima V2 with nitride barrel (not Bergara finish polished, just the standard one). Starting to think not every new inline that gets shipped out is capable of 1 MOA accuracy. Perhaps P would have only been 10-15% slower. I think that P is the closest to black powder, especially Swiss which is said to be 11% denser than regular Goex.
