Based on my research, the 07/08 CRF450 carb was upgraded to the 41mm FCR, and the carb is known to be a bit finicky with tuning. The prior 02-06 CRF450 carbs are 40mm. Being bigger it'll be less low end and more top end power. The carb also doesn't use the same accelerator pump spring as every other FCRMX carb on the planet.

Posted July 6, 2008. ok guys here is the promised performance report. After completing all of the recommended performance mods I added the Mikuni 33 to my 97 DRZ 250. As suggested by Poppy the 33 can be made to fit on the 07, but it takes a bit of fiddling and stuffing to get in place.Keihin fcr carbs are going to be your best bet.
