What happened is he drove it through a huge ass puddle and hydrolocked the engine. To everyone else who responded in this thread: cleaning the battery cables isnt going to fix this because its not the problem to begin with. The batteries are fine. I guarantee it. Pull the glow plugs and try to crank the engine.

You can tie each string off to hold the rod's position as you lower. Then adjust, lower, adjust, lower. Bottom line; it's a pain to do it that way. Is this a broken crank? its the operator fault. he is over stressing the engine. when the crank breaks on the 5-6 rod, its always a misuse of the engine. The operator over stress the engine. if its the 1-2 rod, the operator uses way too much the engine brake, or its running the motor at high rpm without load.
