Kawasaki's can sometimes be a little balky on the 1-2 shift and if you have a heel/toe shifter, it is soooo easy to give the old heel a stomp and then ugly things happen inside the transmission.Choking. You should find a knurled ring at the base of the choke knob (the holder I guess is the word) which may be covered by a rubber cover. A quick check is to remove the cable from the hub and spin with your fingers while looking for movement on the speedo needle. If it moves, your problem is in the hub.
