NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION. The Burgaw Historic District is located in the heart of the town of Burgaw, in Pender County, North Carolina. Designated the county seat in 1879, Burgaw is positioned near the center of Pender County, the fifth largest county in the state. Forty-nine feet above sea level, the terrain surrounding Burgaw is relatively flat.Craver was appointed to her position as clerk of Superior Court for Pender County in 2017 after Robert Kilroy retired. She then won the elections to keep her position in 2018 and 2022.
