In Eidolon hunts, you already got the extra dmg boost from Volt's shield and Harrow's crit buff, and rubico's zoom buff (+50% cd on high zoom, not affected by zoom mods), and likely rubico's combo counter. Serration wouldn't end up providing the full +165% of damage.

Rubico Prime is still top tier but Lpehantis has a damage cap. If you want to kill it faster I highly recommend Titania (Razorwing Blitz + Dex Pixia) or Mirage with clones and Pyrana Prime.
