To elaborate, a lot of her character arc is escaping from others using her - her parents, Vyrthr, and even the Dawnguard see her as little more than a tool. Molag Bal is the originator of vampirism, the god of domination - using people is his bread and butter. Curing her vampirism is the natural conclusion to her personal arc.
