Fender American Vintage II 1966 Jazz Bass. After letting the Geddy go, I don’t know if I should even think about these, but 1966 was a fabulous year for Jazz Basses. A few of my favorite players I like played them. The original, pre-upgrade Highway One Model had an acrylic lacquer finish. When Fender introduced the upgrade model in 2005, they changed to nitrocellulose lacquer. As a side note, I owned both a 2005 pre-upgrade bass (sold for financial reasons) and currently own a 2006 post-upgrade bass.
